World Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection and Development Conference

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, the inaugural World Conference on the Protection and Development of Intangible Cultural Heritage is convened under the central theme of “Advancing Global ICH Safeguarding and Sustainable Development,” jointly organized by UNESCO and relevant sustainable development institutions. The Conference aims to strengthen international cooperation, further advance the effective implementation of the Convention, and promote the living transmission and innovative development of intangible cultural heritage in contemporary society.

By establishing a standardized certification system and leveraging modern digital platforms like our Asian Intangible Cultural Heritage Database, we aim to bridge the gap between traditional practitioners and international resources. We provide authoritative recognition to dedicated inheritors and connect their invaluable skills with sustainable developmental opportunities.

Our Mission

  • To establish a comprehensive and authoritative registry of intangible cultural heritage practitioners.
  • To foster international cultural exchange through conferences, exhibitions, and digital media.
  • To empower practitioners with commercial and developmental resources, ensuring their heritage thrives in the modern economy.
